A free coach trip to Clumber Park with a specially curated tour by Support Structure, connecting the installation at Nottingham Contemporary with the grounds of this former stately home. Dress warmly. Booking essential. Pick up 11am outside Nottingham Contemporary. Return at 5pm.
Support Structure are architect Celine Condorelli & artist-curator Gavin Wade. For six months in 2011 they were in residence at The National Trust’s Clumber Park, in North Nottinghamshire. They focused on the absent Clumber House, researching the uses of the building before it was demolished in 1937.
They have imagined the future of Clumber Park in a publication which will be available at the park itself, and at Nottingham Contemporary. There will be a temporary installation in The Space that will be accompanied by a series of events - including the screening of horror films.
Nottingham Contemporary’s public programme is jointly funded by Nottingham Trent University and The University of Nottingham.
